Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 21 years for 30 years as on 01-04-2014. In other words candidates must have been born not earlier than 02-04-1984 to 01-04-1993 (Both days inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules and it will be considered as on 01-01-2014.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess the following qualification of Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent examination from any recognized University.

Those who are in the Final year of Graduation/ Semester may also apply provisionally subjects to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 10-08-2014.

Application Fee: General and other unreserved candidates are required to pay Rs. 500/- while SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped/ PWD category candidates will have to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee. Application fee should be paid either through Online of Offline mode.
                                                                                   
Online Payment Mode: The system will generate a cash voucher/ challan form pre-printed with the candidate's details which will be required to be presented at any State Bank of India branch counter with the requisite fee. On payment of the requisite fee through computer generated challan form, registration of the online application will be complete.

Offline Payment Mode: The payment can be made by using debit card/ credit card/Internet Banking.

Application fee should be deposited in any branch of Odisha Gramya Bank or remit the fee through NEFT from any commercial bank branch.

Pay Scale: The starting basic pay is Rs. 16,900/- (With 4 increments) in the scale of Rs. 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale I.
Cash Component: Rs. 34,320/-
Bank’s contribution to PF: Rs. 1690/-
Housing (Lease Rental): Rs. 29,500/-

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in written examination, Descriptive Test, Group Discussion and Interview.

SBI PO Exam FAQ – Doubt Answered


Q: I am completing 20 years after April. May I apply?
Ans: No. Since the age limit for applicants is 21 years to 30 years as on April 1st, 2014. Candidates who is not 21 years old are not eligible for SBI Recruitment 2014. In a simple words, Candidates dote of birth should be within 02-04-1984 and 01-04-1993.

Q: I have not scored 50% in Graduate degree. Shall I apply?
Ans: State bank of India has not specified any percentile & a pass in degree is enough for you to submit application.
Q: Can a candidate who is awaiting final result apply for the post?
Ans: Yes. Students who are currently in their final year/ semester may also apply. If you are called for Interview, proper proof of having passed the degree exam on or before August 8, 2014 must be shown.

Q: The salary mentioned in notification as Rs.29,500 is similar for all region.
Ans: No. The mentioned rental amount is only for Mumbai centre & differs for each location that starts from Rs.8000 in category ‘C’ centres.

Q. Can an Ex-serviceman get any age relaxation?
Ans. Yes, as per rules of Government of India. Refer to Age limitation for SBI PO 2014.

Q. What is the limit or chances for Aspirants?
Similar to RBI Grade B Officer, State Bank has fixed the number of chances for a candidate to apply for its recruitments.
  1. General Candidates: 4 Times.
  2. OBC Candidates: 7 Times.
  3. SC/ ST/ PWD Candidates: No Limit.


Q: I have printed the FEE Challan. Where do I deposit the FEE and by when it can be deposited?
Ans: A challan is generated once you submit the application form. It should be used to remit fees from the 2nd working day after registration & within three working days at any SBI branch.

Q: Will I need to wait 2 days for online payments?
Ans: No. Online payments via Debit/ Credit card/ Net banking should be done immediately on submitting your application.

Q: When will I receive call letters/ Admit Card for the exam?
Ans: According to SBI`s official notification call letters/ admit cards will be available for download by candidates over their on bank`s website after May 30, 2014. We strongly recommended do not expect to receive the hall tickets by post.

RRB Technician Eligibility Criteria:

The Following are the eligibility details to apply for the Technician and Loco Pilot vacancy.
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: Minimum age limit would be 18 years and maximum age limit would be 30 years.

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit
  1. SC/ST candidates – 5 years
  2. OBC candidates – 3 years
  3. For Ex-Servicemen, up to the extent of service rendered in Defence, plus 3 years, provided they have put in more than 6 months service after attestation.
  4. By 5 years for candidates who have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
  5. By 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) UR,  (13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST)
  6. Upper age limit in case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from husband but not remarried shall be 35 years for Unreserved, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
  7. No age relaxation is allowed to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved vacancies
  8. The date of birth for candidates for different age groups, should be between the dates given below: (Both dates inclusive).
