Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is a private research university in Troy, NY. The Department of Physics, Applied Physics and Astronomy in the School of Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY announces the opening of a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. We seek candidates with highly-visible research achievements and who will build a world-class research program at the cutting edge of Condensed Matter Physics. The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, teaching and advising students, conducting original research and publishing the results, and participating in departmental and university service.
