SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 2014 – SBI Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, Corporate Centre, Mumbai has issued an Employment Notification for the Recruitment of Specialist Cadre Officers posts in State Bank Group. To fill up these vacancies, Online Application are invited from the candidates for the 393 vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria :
Age Limit:
Candidates age must follow the below mentioned limitations for SBI Specialist officers posts in State Bank Group.
For JMGS-I Officers: Age should be between 21 years to 30 years.
For MMGS-II Officers: Age should be between 22 years to 30 years.
For MMGS-III Officers: Age should be between 21 years to 35 years or 38 years.
For SMGS-IV Officers: Age should be between 21 years to 40 years.
For SMGS-V Officers: Age should be between 21 years to 45 years.
For MMGS-II Officers: Age should be between 22 years to 30 years.
For MMGS-III Officers: Age should be between 21 years to 35 years or 38 years.
For SMGS-IV Officers: Age should be between 21 years to 40 years.
For SMGS-V Officers: Age should be between 21 years to 45 years.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the following qualification.
- For Statistician Manager Posts: Full time PG Degree in Statistics/ Applied Statistics/ Econometrics from recognized University with minimum 60% marks in Aggregate.
- For Manager (Statistician) Posts: Full time PG Degree in Statistics/ Applied Statistics/ Econometrics from recognized University with minimum 60% marks in Aggregate.
- For Chief Manager (Analysts) Posts: M. Sc. (Statistics /Operations Research/ Computer Science) OR MCA/BE/B.Tech. (CS/IT) OR MBA full time from a reputed Institute.
- For Asst Manager (Library) Posts: A Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a graduate in any discipline with a Post Graduate degree/ diploma in Library Science from a recognized university.
- For Manager (Chartered Accountant) Posts: Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- For Asst Manager (Economist) Posts: M. A. in Economics (minimum 55% marks) (Economist) with Economics/ Mathematical Economics and M. Phil in related area.
- For Manager (Risk Rater) Posts: MBA (Finance), preferably with FRM(*)/Post Graduate Diploma (2 years) in Risk Management.
- For Assistant Manager (Computer System) Posts: B.E./ B. Tech in CSE/IT/EC /EE&T/E&I or M.Sc or MCA.
- For Manager (Engineering) Posts: A degree in Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized University / Institution with 60% marks.
- For Manager (Official Language) Posts: Post graduate degree in Hindi with English OR Post graduate degree in Sanskrit with Hindi and English.
- For manager (Law) Posts: Graduate with a degree in Law or a Law Graduate who has passed 5 years integrated Law course from a recognized University in India.
- For Dy. Manager (Security) Posts: An officer with minimum 5 years commissioned service in Army/ Navy/ Air Force or a Police not below the rank of ASP.
Application Fee:
- General and other unreserved candidates are required to pay Rs. 500/- as application fee while SC/ ST and other reserved category candidates will have to pay only Rs. 100/- as application fee.
- Application fee should be paid at any of the branches of State Bank of India or by suing Online paymentgateway i.e. SBI Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card. Refer to notification area for more details.

Selection Process :
Selections of candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in written examination and Group Discussion/ interview.
Online Application Form:
All those candidates who wish to apply for various Specialist Officers posts in State Bank Group, they are required to register themselves online first through Bank's website or www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in on or before 6th March 2014. After which candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through one of the following modes:
Offline mode:
The system will generate a cash voucher/ challan form pre-printed with the candidate's details which will be required to be presented at any State Bank of India branch counter with the requisite fee. On payment of the requisite fee through computer generated challan form, registration of the online application will be complete.
Online mode:
The payment can be made by using debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking.
How to Apply Online :
- Go to SBI's official website at www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in.
- Go to Recruitment Section.
- Click on "Apply Online" link
- Fill Application form with all mandatory details, payment details and upload the scanned copy of photograph and signature.
- Now make payment as mentioned above (Online or Offline).
- After ensuring all the information given by you, submit your application form.
- Take print out of application for future references.

- Last Date for Payment of Application fee: 08-03-2014

Note to Candidates :
- The number of vacancies including reserved vacancies as mentioned above are provisional and may vary according to the actual requirements of the Banks.
- Candidates belonging to reserved category, for which no reservation has been mentioned, are free to apply for vacancies announced for unreserved (General) category and they must fulfill all the eligibility conditions stipulated for unreserved (General) Category. However, Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates applying for posts/banks where vacancies are not reserved for them will be eligible for upper age relaxation available to PWD candidates.
- Total initial emoluments per month have been worked out for posting in Metropolitan Centers. It will vary as per place of posting & percentage of dearness allowance payable from time to time.
- For the Post relating to security, officers from the fighting arms will be given preference. Total emoluments are subject to deduction of pensionary benefits, if any, being enjoyed from previous employer ignoring ` 500/- p.m. & as per guidelines issued by Government of India from time to time.
- The selected candidates will be eligible for leased residential accommodation at place of posting. Leave and other benefits, like LFC/HTC, Medical benefits, conveyance allowance and other perquisites will be as per concerned
Bank's rules.
