East Central Railway, Hajipur invited applications for recruitment to the post of Kathak Dancer against Cultural quota for the year 2013-14. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 2 December 2013. The East Central Railway is one of the sixteen railway zones in India. It is headquartered at Hajipur and comprises Sonpur Samastipur Danapur, Mughalsarai, and Dhanbad divisions . This zone came into existence on 8 September 1996.

Age limit

• Candidate should have 18 years and not below 30 years as on 1 January 2014.
• Age Relaxation in upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST is 5 years, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for Physically Challenged Person.

Educational Qualification

• The candidate should have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate or higher qualification.
• The candidate should possess degree or diploma or certificate in concerned discipline from Government recognized Institute.

Application Fee

• The examination fee for Unreserved and OBC candidates is Rs.40/-.
• The examination fee should be paid in the form of Indian Postal Order, drawn in favour of ‘FA & CAO, East Central Railway’ and payable at Hajipur.
• All Women Candidates, SC & ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with 40% or above Disabilities, Minority (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Zorastrians {Parsis}) and Economically backward class candidates are fully exempted from examination fees.

Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/2000.

ii) 2" relaxation in height to the resident of hill area will be available on
production of certificate (at the time Physical Measurement Test) to this
effect (Hill Area Certificate) issuer by the Competent Authority i.e.
DC/DM/SDM or Tehsildar of their Place of hill area residence.
iii) A candidate will be eligible to clai relaxation of physical standard either
as a Chandigarh Police Ward or as a Hill Area Candidate.
iv) For claiming relaxations, as above, please consult Standing Order
available on the Chandigarh Police website www.chandigarhpolice.nic.in
- The crucial/cut-of date for all purposes such as minimum educational
qualification, determining the age of the candidates, etc. will be treated
as 1st January 2013. The candidates till submit their application on-line on
the website of Chandigarh Police by 15.11.2013 and will send
downloaded hard copy of application alongwith copy of SC Certificate
(Self Attested) and original Bank Draft of Rs.200/- (in favour of Section
