Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the qualification of Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Proficiency in local language will be appreciated.

IBPS Score Card (CWE Marks): Candidates must have a valid IBPS score card which was held during September and October 2013. General and OBC candidates must have scored 95 and above while SC/ ST/ PWD candidates must have scored 89 and above marks for Office Asst. General /OBC candidates must have scored 103 & above while SC/ST/PWD candidates must have scored 97 & above in RRBs CWE conducted by IBPS for Officer posts.

INSTITUTE OF BANKING PERSONNEL SELECTION (IBPS) SPECIALIST OFFICER (SO) 2014 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA is an important subject matter to any entrance exam and here with regards to IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) 2014 exam. It is a crucial thing that has to be looked into by every candidateinterested or other wise before applying for any exam and before filling in the application form. Theeligibility criteria is related to nationality, age limit, educational requirement etc. of the candidate. In order to appear for any exam the candidate has to fall in the eligibility bracket or eligibility criteria as the verification of documents takes place to check the authenticity of the candidate and the document that the candidate has submitted. If at any given point in time it is found that the particular candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria of IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) 2014 the application of the candidate will be cancelled there and then and it will not be a subject of discussion any further.

BELOW IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF IBPS SPECIALIST OFFICER (SO) 2014:

1. NATIONALITY: It is an important basis or element of the eligibility criteria of the IBPS specialist officer (SO) 2014.

• The candidate interested must hail from India or is an Indian Citizen and the candidates subject to Bhutan and Nepal are also eligible to apply.
• The candidates who are basically Tibetan refugee but had shifted to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanent settling in India.
• Also, the Indian Origin Candidates who have migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma and East African Counties are also eligible this criteria is with subject to Nepal, Bhutan and Tibetan Refugee candidates.
• In order to fall under the eligibility criteria of IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) 2014 the candidates of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan Refugee and migrated candidates are required to produce the“certificate of eligibility” issued by the Government Of India.

2. AGE LIMIT: The candidate has to attain a certain age and fall in the age limit bracket to be in the IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) 2014 Eligibility Criteria. Although due to reservation for the reserved category the age limit for certain section of candidate may vary.

A) Educational Requirements for IT Officer (Scale 1) are as follows:

• Four year degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Communications/ Electronic & Telecommunications/ Electronic & Instrumentation.

OR

• Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics & Communication/ electronic & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Application from a recognized University, Institution.

OR

• Graduate from a Recognized University or Institution having passed the DOEACC B Level.

B) Educational Requirements for Agriculture Field Officer (Scale 1) are as follows:

• Four year degree in Agriculture or allied specializations such as Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Sciences, Dairy Science, Agri Engineering, Fishery Science, Pisciculture, Agri Marketing & Cooperation, Forestry etc. from a recognized university.

C) Educational Requirements for Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale 1) to fall under the Eligibility Criteria of IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) 2014 are as follows:

• The candidate must be a post graduate in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level OR a post graduate in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as a subject at degree level.

D) Educational Requirements for Law Officer (Scale 1) are as follows:

• A bachelor degree in law (LLB) is only required to the candidate and should be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar council.

E) Educational Requirement of HR/Personal Officer are as follows:

• Full time graduate from a recognized university and Full time post graduate degree or diploma recognized by AICTE in Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations/ HRD/ Social Work/ Labour Law OR Degree/Diploma in Business Administration/ Management with specialization in HRD from a recognized University.

F) Educational Requirement for Marketing officer (Scale 1) for falling in the eligibility criteria of IBPS Specialist officer (SO) 2014 are as follows:

• MBA (Marketing)/ 2 years PGDBA/ PGDBM or any other equivalent degree OR diploma from a recognized university or institute.

G) Educational requirement for IT Officer (Scale 2) are as follows:

• Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Communications/ Electronic & Telecommunications/ Electronic & Instrumentation.

OR

• Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Electronics & Communication/ electronic & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Application from a recognized University, Institution.

OR

• Graduate from a Recognized University or Institution having passed the DOEACC B Level along with minimum of 2 year post qualification work experience in the IT industry.

H) Educational Requirement for Law Officer (Scale 2) are as follows:

• A bachelor degree in law (LLB) is only required to the candidate along with minimum of 3 years of practice at Bar or judicial service OR 2 years as a Law officer in the legal department of a reputed central or state bank OR a public sector undertaking with practice at Bar.

I) Educational requirement for Chartered Accountant (Scale 2 ) are as follows:

• Passed final exam of Chartered accountancy.

K) Educational Requirement for Finance Executive (Scale 2)& Manager credit (Scale 2) to fall under the eligibility criteria of IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) 2014 are as follows:

• Graduate with CFA, ICWA , Full time MBA, Full Time PGDMB (Finance) with 2 years of work experience in the area of credit appraisal of big, medium industrial projects in scheduled commercial Banks.
