Qualifications:
Professor -> Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent in the appropriate discipline, with at least First Class academic record throughout from 10th Class to Ph.D. Degree. At least a minimum of 10 years teaching, research and/or industrial experience, of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IISc, IIMs and IISERs or at an equivalent level in any such other Indian or Foreign Institute.
Associate Professor -> Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent in the appropriate discipline, with at least First Class academic record throughout from 10th Class to Ph.D. Degree. At least a minimum of 6 years teaching, research and/or industrial experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.
Assistant Professor -> Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent in the appropriate discipline, with at least First Class academic record throughout from 10th Class to Ph.D. Degree. At least a minimum of 3 years teaching, research and/or industrial experience, from the date of defending the Ph.D. Thesis (duration while pursuing Ph.D. Program is not be included).
Assistant Professor (on Contract) -> Fresh Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent in the appropriate discipline, with at least First Class academic record throughout from 10th class to Ph.D. Degree. Selected candidates shall be placed in Pay Band 3 of Rs. 15,600-39,100 with AGP of Rs. 6,000 with seven
non-compounded advance increments; Moved after 1 year to AGP of Rs. 7,000 based on a review of performance; Moved after 3 years to AGP of Rs. 8,000 with a minimum pay of Rs. 30,000 based on a review of performance; and Moved to Pay Band 4 (Rs.37,400-67,000) with an AGP of Rs. 9,000 on completion of 3 years of service as Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs. 8,000 based on a review of performance.
