Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invited application for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor, Professor, Medical Officer, Specialist Grade-II and many more in different central government ministry. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format on or before 15 November 2013. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India's central agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination and Combined Medical Services Examination.

Age limit
  • Candidates upper age limit should not be exceed 55 years for post no. 12*(* For 1 Post reserved for Scheduled Castes Candidates), 15*(* For 1 Post reserved for Scheduled Castes Candidates) and 16.

Educational Qualifications
  • Assistant Commissioner (Quality Control & Certification/Seeds Development): Master degree in Seed Technology or Master Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Botany or Botany or Agronomy or Plant Breeding and Genetics with specialisation in Seed Technology from a recognised University or equivalent.
  • Assistant Industrial Adviser: Master Degree in Chemistry or Bio-Chemistry of a recognized University or Degree in Chemical Engineering or Technology of a recognized University/Institute.
  • Manager Grade-I/Section Officer: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent and Diploma or Degree in Business Management or Material Management from a recognized Institution.
  • Assistant Professor (Cancer Surgery): MBBS recognized by Medical Council of India and Post Graduate degree in the concerned Super speciality i.e. M.Ch. (Cancer Surgery/Surgical Oncology) or equivalent.
  • Specialist Grade-II (Obst. & Gynae): A recognized medical qualification. Post Graduate degree or Diploma in the concerned speciality i.e. M.D. (Obst. & Gynae), M.S.(Obst & Gynae), M.D.(Mid & Gynae.), M.S.(Mid & Gynae), M.O., M.R.C.O.G., Speciality Board of Obsterics & Gynaecology (USA), D.G.O. or equivalent.
  • Assistant Professor (Physiology):  A recognized medical qualification and Post Graduate degree in the concerned speciality i.e. M.D. (Physiology), M.Sc. (Physiology), Ph.D. (Physiology), D.Sc. (Physiology) or equivalent.
  • Assistant Professor (Psychiatry): A recognized medical qualification and Post Graduate degree in the concerned speciality i.e. M.D. (Psychiatry), M.D. (Psychological Medicine), Speciality Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (USA), DPM of two years course, Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin) of two years course, Diploma in Psychiatry (Mc Gill) University, Montreal, Canada of Two years course or equivalent.
  • Assistant Professor (Urology): MBBS recognized by Medical Council of India and Post Graduate degree in the concerned Super-speciality i.e. M.Ch. (Urology) or Speciality Board of Urology (USA) or equivalent.
  • Training Officer (Tool & Die Making): Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering or Tool Engineering Technology from a recognised University or equivalent with 2 years post qualification experience in a workshop engaged in Production or Maintenance or Servicing or Teaching or Training in a Technical Institute in the Area of Tool Engineering /Tool & Die Making. Application Fee
  • Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
  • No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No "fee exemption" is available to OBC male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written examination/ interview.
How to Apply:
  • Eligible candidates may apply online through the website www.upsconline.nic.in website on or before 15 November 2013.
  • Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
  • Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.
  • After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application before 16 November 2013.
  • Candidates are not required to submit to the Commission either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications or any other document. They will be required to bring along with them the printouts of their online applications and the documents if called for interview.
