Water Resource and Sanitation Department, Punjab has invited online applications from the eligible candidate for the post of junior engineer and Junior Draftsman in different categories. The total number of 150 vacancies will be filled from the eligible candidates. The other eligibility criteria are described as under:-

Age Limit:-The candidate should be between 18 to 37 years of age. The upper age limit is relaxed as per Govt. of Punjab reservation rules.

Academic Requirement for the above posts is given as under: -

Junior Engineer	Diploma/degree in Civil/Mechanical/electrical Engineering
Junior Draftsman	Diploma in draftsmanship or degree/diploma in architecture

Application Fees:-

• For general category the fees will be Rs.1000/-.
• For SC/ST/PWD category the fees will be Rs.750/-

Selection Procedure:-The candidate will be selected on the basis of merit in written test. The written test will be conducted at Patiala to short list the candidates for the above posts.

Online application closes on 29-11-2013.

Date of written Examination:-09-02-2014.

How to Apply:-The online mode of application is available at the website www.thapar.edu  candidate must give a working email ID for further correspondence related to the test and interview. The test will only be conducted in Patiala.

• Send the printout of the application form along with the other documents and fees to the in charge-DWSSP-cell, Thapar University, Patiala.
• The candidate should keep the scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression.
• Visit the Thapar university website for filling online application form.
• Enter the detail of the fees payment in the application form carefully.
• Keep a copy of the filled application form for further references related to the recruitment process.

Special Instructions:-

• The application of candidate applying for more than one post at the same time will be rejected.
• Online applications once registered will not be allowed to withdraw.
• Canvassing in any form will a disqualification.
• Request to change the address will not be entertained.
• The candidates have to submit the online examination form only.
• The candidate can apply through online mode and No other mode of applying for the above posts is available.
• Using of unfair means at the examination center will lead to cancelation of candidature.
